Job Description

About the Role: Google Cloud Field Solutions Architect

The Google Cloud Platform team helps customers transform and grow their businesses through cloud technology. Our products are designed for security, reliability, and scalability, covering everything from infrastructure and applications to devices and hardware. Whether our clients are developers, educational institutions, government agencies, or businesses of all sizes, our team is dedicated to showing them the benefits of Google's technology. In this rapidly evolving business area, you will actively work with the team to innovate and play a key role in understanding customer needs, helping businesses of all sizes leverage technology to stay connected with customers, employees, and partners, creating a better future together.

As a Google Cloud Field Solutions Architect, you will act as an on-site builder, bridging the gap between cutting-edge advanced analytics products and the customer's production environment. Unlike a traditional consultant, you will serve as both a builder and a consultant, not only providing high-level architectural designs but also writing code, debugging, and co-delivering customized agent solutions directly in the customer's environment. You will resolve production-impacting obstacles, including complex integration issues, data readiness challenges, and state management testing, driving advanced analytics technologies to enterprise-grade maturity. By working closely with strategic customers, you will undertake a dual responsibility: providing "white-glove" precise deployment services for complex advanced analytics systems, and acting as a critical feedback loop to translate real-world insights from the frontline into the future product roadmap for Google Cloud.

Google Cloud empowers organizations to digitally transform their businesses and drive industry change. We offer enterprise-grade solutions embedded with Google's advanced technology and tools that help developers build applications in a more sustainable way. Currently, Google Cloud is a trusted partner for customers in over 200 countries and regions worldwide, helping them grow their businesses and solve their most critical business problems.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead developer for complex advanced analytics applications, transforming prototypes into production-grade agent workflows for measurable return on investment (ROI).
  • Design and write "connecting tissue" to link Google advanced analytics products with customer's existing infrastructure, including APIs, legacy data silos, and security boundaries.
  • Build high-performance evaluation pipelines and observability frameworks to ensure agent systems meet accuracy, security, and latency requirements.
  • Identify repeatable on-site patterns and technical pain points within the Google advanced analytics stack, converting them into reusable modules or formal product feature requests for engineering teams.
  • Co-develop with customer engineering teams, incorporating Google-level best development practices to ensure long-term project success and high end-user adoption rates.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience delivering production-grade data-driven solutions to internal and external clients, with Python proficiency at L400 level.
  • Experience designing advanced analytics systems based on cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform [GCP]).
  • Experience developing automated solutions utilizing foundational models, first-party model tuning techniques, and advanced analytics architectures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Experience designing integrated systems, addressing real-time inference limitations, and achieving model quantization in resource-constrained environments.
  • Familiarity with low-latency communication protocols for device-to-cloud data orchestration, such as gRPC and MQTT.
  • Proficiency in Android operating system development, capable of integrating advanced analytics models directly into mobile frameworks.
  • Ability to conduct exploratory interviews to identify true business problems and translate complex hardware/advanced analytics constraints into content understandable by deep technical teams.
