About the Role

The Finance Manager Data Center Acquisition Energy and Sustainability at Google plays a critical role in ensuring sound financial decisions by driving operational excellence for data center capacity and renewable energy projects. The role involves financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and close collaboration with multiple internal teams.

Minimum and Preferred Qualifications

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field and 10 years of experience in FP&A, consulting, or related fields.

Preferred qualifications: Experience working with large datasets, coding languages (SQL, Python, R, JavaScript), and business intelligence tools including Tableau and Looker. Ability to work independently in an unstructured environment, multi-task, and communicate effectively to influence executive leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Google's energy and renewable energy data portfolio including tracking, analyzing, and reporting project costs and profitability.
  • Develop and maintain accurate forecasts and support month-end close for energy costs and generation.
  • Collaborate with finance, accounting, and internal teams to deliver renewable energy financial data and insightful analysis.
  • Coordinate with utilities, renewable energy suppliers, and internal partners for invoice processing and issue resolution.
  • Support contract management for renewable energy and utility service agreements.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a base salary range of $165,000-$245,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Specific salary depends on work location and qualifications. Additional details about compensation structure are provided during the hiring process.
