About the Role
The Engineering Analyst Trust and Safety Search at Google works to discover, measure, and mitigate user trust risks in Search by developing automated and scalable solutions. This role involves working on Search results and features with a focus on deceptive behaviors such as webspam and scams. You will collaborate with Search Engineers, Product Managers, and UX specialists to protect users from spam and harmful content.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop domain knowledge in Search infrastructure and ranking signals.
- Create prompt-based AI Raters to evaluate content safety.
- Investigate and analyze abuse patterns using data-driven insights.
- Translate technical analyses into actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, Policy, and Legal.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; 5 years of experience in data analysis and project management; experience with SQL, R, Python or similar languages.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline; 5 years of experience with machine learning systems and programming languages including C++; strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Compensation
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 plus bonus, equity, and additional benefits. Individual pay is determined based on experience, location and education.
