About the Role
The Engineering Analyst, AI Safety at Google is dedicated to mitigating risks associated with generative AI by leveraging advanced machine learning techniques and data science methods. The role involves developing scalable safety solutions, automated data pipelines, and self-service dashboards while providing actionable insights to improve protection measures.

The US base salary ranges from $105,000 to $151,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Please note that compensation details reflect the base salary only.
Minimum and Preferred Qualifications
Minimum: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, 1 year of experience in data analysis and project management, and experience working with SQL or Python.
Preferred: Master's degree in a quantitative field, experience with cyber-security, incident response, threat intelligence, metrics design, and the ability to clearly communicate complex technical issues.
Responsibilities
- Develop scalable safety solutions for AI products using machine learning and AI techniques.
- Apply statistical and data science methods to evaluate and enhance protection measures.
- Create compelling data stories for stakeholders including executive leadership.
- Develop automated data pipelines and self-service dashboards for real-time insights.
- Handle sensitive and potentially graphic content responsibly.
