About the Director, CPG, Auto and Tech Sector, Canada Role at Google
As the Director for Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Auto, and Tech (CAT) Sector, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth for clients and Google’s CAT sector in Canada. This leadership position involves managing a complex portfolio of companies across the auto, CPG, telco, and M&E industries. You will be an integral part of the Canada Leadership team, responsible for scaling the business by developing robust growth strategies for key accounts. Your expertise will be crucial in leading sales teams and cultivating C-suite relationships within the CPG, auto, and/or tech industries. A key aspect of this role is transforming Google's products into comprehensive solutions across Search, Video, and Programmatic channels to address complex business challenges.
Google's Large Customer Sales (LCS) teams are recognized as strategic partners and industry thought leaders for the world's leading brands and agencies. We continuously challenge how customers approach their business and how Google can effectively support their growth. Our focus is on enabling these major players to navigate profound industry shifts and achieve exceptional business performance by competitively selling Google's full suite of advertising solutions, including Search, YouTube, Measurement, and more. Responsibilities
- Set the strategic vision and operational plan for Canada's businesses, guiding their transformation with Google AI.
- Proactively innovate to drive growth for both clients and Google by influencing product direction and development.
- Cultivate deep, strategic C-level partnerships with key advertisers across the sector.
- Anticipate client needs and deliver exceptional service, helping brands scale through consultative solutions.
- Hire, mentor, and lead an exceptional sales team, upholding Google standards and fostering a high-performance culture to accelerate business growth.
- Bring a unique and valuable perspective to the Canada Leadership team, building strong bridges across internal and external stakeholders to achieve high-impact outcomes and deliver scaled, measurable impact.
- Shape the future of advertising in influential sectors by transforming Google's products into effective solutions that solve complex business problems and contribute significantly to the business plan's growth.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience in sales.
- 6 years of experience in people management.
- Extensive experience in the ad sales industry, covering digital channels, consumer mobile products, online products, online advertising technologies and strategies, and market dynamics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or MBA.
- Demonstrated expertise in CPG, auto, or tech verticals.
- Strong ability to communicate cross-functionally and effectively navigate a fast-paced, global environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel and collaborate across diverse geographies to drive results.
