Data Analytics Solutions Specialist

As part of this team you fully immerse yourself in data collection, draw insight from analysis, and then zoom out to develop compelling, synthesized recommendations. Taking strategy one step further, you also persuasively communicate your recommendations to senior-level executives, roll-up your sleeves to help drive implementation and check back-in to see the impact of your recommendations.

Within the Google Procurement Organization, the Digital Experience team is responsible for enabling and ensuring a consistent approach across the entire GPO through deep data insights and agile simple processes and technology, and focuses on developing GPO's processes, technology landscape and data architecture to create efficient, user-friendly, and integrated processes and systems that enhance GPO's capabilities, streamline operations, improve user experiences, and drive value for the organization.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing GPO's data and reporting capabilities, and empowering stakeholders with actionable insights through various reporting tools to facilitate data-driven decision-making and enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain self-service reporting tools, dashboards, and analytics platforms tailored for procurement stakeholders.
  • Collect, aggregate, and analyze procurement-related data from various sources to create actionable insights and meaningful visualizations.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics relevant to procurement operations.
  • Create interactive and visually appealing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using data visualization and reporting tools and software.
  • Support ongoing manual reporting activities by generating ad-hoc reports, and analyses as needed for specific operational requirements and ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of manually prepared reports.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Quantitative Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience working in data analytics, consulting, data science, engineering, or a technical operations role.
  • 3 years of experience in statistical problem solving and analyzing data sets using SQL or comparable coding language (e.g., Python, R, Java, C++).

Preferred qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field, with a focus on designing, developing, and maintaining self-service reporting tools, dashboards, and analytics platforms tailored for procurement stakeholders.
  • Experience in data visualization and reporting tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik, with experience in creating interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
  • Familiarity with SQL or other query languages.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to support ongoing manual reporting activities, and the ability to perform data validation, quality checks, and verification processes.
