Job Details
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role; and experience in cybersecurity matters including threat detection, malware intelligence, cloud security posture management, and IAM systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in a relevant technical field; certifications in Google Cloud or Security industry; experience implementing enterprise security solutions; hands-on exposure with SIEM, SOAR, threat intelligence, or security operations; and knowledge of market trends in cybersecurity such as ransomware, attack frameworks, zero trust, etc.
About the Job
As a Customer Engineer, Security Specialist at Google Cloud, you will partner with technical business teams as a cybersecurity subject matter expert. You will help prospective and existing customers understand Google Cloud, develop creative cloud solutions, engage in proofs of concept, troubleshoot cybersecurity concerns, and work closely with internal teams to improve products.
Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify business opportunities and resolve technical blockers.
- Support technical customer relationships through security expertise and technology advocacy.
- Demonstrate Google Cloud product integrations and prototype solutions.
- Recommend integration strategies and enterprise architectures on Google Cloud.
- Travel to customer sites, conferences, and public events to represent Google Cloud.
