About the Role

The Customer Engineer Google Cloud Infrastructure Modernization role bridges technical expertise with business strategy. In this role you will work with the Sales team to introduce Google Cloud to new and existing customers by crafting technical solutions, addressing challenges, and leading IT discussions to drive cloud innovation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 6 years experience in infrastructure modernization as a technical consultant, pre-sales engineer, or enterprise architect
  • Experience in cloud migration, data center migration, disaster recovery, virtualization or application/server assessment
  • Proven leadership in IT discussions and designing cloud adoption plans

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related technical field
  • Experience architecting and implementing solutions on public cloud
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, RDBMS and NoSQL databases
  • Competence in Windows/Linux administration and enterprise applications
  • Understanding of virtualization, networking, and related open protocols
  • Basic understanding of AI and Machine Learning concepts

Responsibilities

  • Inspire customers and peers to solve technical problems
  • Manage Go-to-Market strategy from a technical perspective
  • Work with customers to demonstrate and prototype Google Cloud integrations
  • Recommend migration strategies and enterprise architectures
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and events as needed
