Overview
The Customer Engineer III, Infrastructure Modernization role at Google Cloud involves working with technical Sales teams to drive cloud adoption by facilitating customer technical transformations. You will leverage your expertise in cloud native architecture, on-premise infrastructure engineering, virtualization, and containerization to support enterprises in modernizing their infrastructure.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 10 years in cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role. Experience with cloud infrastructure engineering, on-premise infrastructure engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience migrating applications and services to cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of security concepts such as encryption, identity management, access control, attack vectors, and pen testing.
- Understanding of networking concepts including SDN, routing, VPNs, load balancers, and firewalls.
About the Role
As a Customer Engineer, you will partner with Google Cloud’s technical Sales teams to differentiate the cloud platform. Responsibilities include engaging with customers to assess legacy environments, presenting cloud solutions, executing proofs of concept, and troubleshooting technical issues.
Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify business opportunities with technical Sales teams.
- Deliver enterprise infrastructure modernization expertise and technical guidance.
- Work directly with Google Cloud products to prototype integrations.
- Guide customers through legacy system assessments and modernization roadmaps.
- Recommend integration strategies and enterprise architectures for complete Google Cloud solutions.
Compensation & Benefits
This is a full-time position offering a base salary ranging from $147,000 to $218,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Specific compensation is influenced by work location and individual qualifications.
