About the Role

The Customer Engineer II Application Modernization role at Google Cloud focuses on engaging with customers to modernize legacy applications and deliver cloud solutions. You will work closely with technical sales teams to provide enterprise-grade cloud modernization expertise and collaborate on proofs-of-concept, technical presentations, and customer workshops.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify business opportunities.
  • Engage with customer technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Facilitate cloud modernization assessments and migration strategies.
  • Conduct prototyping workshops and document best practices.
  • Travel to customer sites and industry events.

Minimum and Preferred Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience and 6 years experience with cloud native architecture. Experience in architectural design patterns, platform engineering, container deployments, and customer-focused technical roles is required. Preferred qualifications include experience with scalable architectures, API management, microservice frameworks, and familiarity with the software development lifecycle.
