About the Job
As a Content Operations Manager at YouTube, you will manage day-to-day digital operations for YouTube TV, Primetime Channels, and media-related products. This role involves overseeing the ingestion, processing, and delivery of Video on Demand (VOD) content, ensuring strict adherence to technical specifications. You will monitor the health of VOD delivery systems, proactively identifying and resolving any issues that could impact user experience. Leveraging your expertise in video technologies, you will design operational processes and apply tools and automation solutions to drive growth. A key part of this role is defining, managing, and reviewing operational metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvements. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to guide investments in operational processes and tools, and work with YouTube's global vendor network to enhance these processes and tools.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in video-on-demand, including XML schema, metadata troubleshooting, and OTT technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to lead and grow in a cross-functional team environment, collaborating with engineering and product stakeholders.
- Passionate about operational excellence and delivering 24/7 service with an understanding of urgency and prioritization.
