Job Details
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience, with 3 years of experience automating infrastructure provisioning, DevOps, continuous integration, or delivery. Experience designing cloud enterprise solutions, supporting customer projects, and coding in languages like Python, Java, Go, C, or C++ is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) techniques such as prompt engineering, dual encoders, and embedding vectors. Prior hands-on work with AI/ML training or inference workloads on GPUs or TPUs; familiarity with designing infrastructure platforms using compute, networking, or storage technologies; building prototypes; standard IT security practices; and containerization using GKE.
About the Job
The Google Cloud Consulting Professional Services team helps customers transform their businesses by adopting Google Cloud Platform. As a Cloud Engineer, Platform & Infrastructure, you will provide technical guidance in secure cloud implementations, automated provisioning, and cloud-ready architectures. You will collaborate with Product Management and Engineering while advising customers on migrating, building, modernizing, and maintaining applications in GCP.
Responsibilities
- Provide domain expertise in cloud platforms and infrastructure.
- Design and implement cloud-based technical architectures and migration strategies with customers.
- Act as a technical advisor, troubleshooting complex cloud platform issues.
- Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, and sample code.
- Travel up to 30% for meetings, technical reviews, and onsite delivery activities.
