About the Business and Product Insights Analyst Role at Google
The Google Customer Solutions (GCS) Sales and Strategy teams leverage analytics to provide business-critical insights, ensure cross-functional alignment of goals and execution, and drive strategic partnerships, new initiatives, and sustainable business growth and product adoption. We focus on aligning top-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, evolving early-stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.
GCS sales teams act as trusted advisors and competitive sellers, maintaining a relentless focus on customer success by offering the best of Google to small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). In this role, you will work directly with company owners, making a significant difference in their businesses by helping them achieve growth. You'll contribute to shaping the future of innovation for customers, partners, and sellers in a dynamic and enjoyable environment.
Responsibilities
- Draw interpretable insights from sophisticated business analyses and advanced modeling techniques.
- Design effective processes, tools, and operating cadences to achieve organizational outcomes.
- Develop comprehensive sales, product, or business strategies that address complex business challenges and meet the needs of customers and stakeholders across various functions to drive incremental growth.
- Communicate data-driven recommendations to leadership and the broader organization through polished presentations and clear identification of key takeaways.
- Define actionable plans and roadmaps, aligning cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of change initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in a management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, or corporate advisory role.
- 4 years of experience in data analytics, marketing analytics, management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, or corporate advisory.
- Technical and analytical experience, including proficiency in SQL, data visualization, and dashboard development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or MBA in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a similar quantitative field.
- Experience with controlled experiments, causal studies, and similar analytical methodologies.
- Familiarity with Google Ads Products or experience building reporting to support sales teams, including reporting within connect sales.
- Ability to create effective presentations and briefing documents to communicate insights and influence decision-making.
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, capable of translating complex analysis to non-technical audiences.
- Excellent technical and problem-solving skills, including proficiency in Python, R, advanced statistics, and data science.
