About the Business Analyst Data and Analytics Role
This role, based in Playa Vista, CA, is part of Google's Business Strategy and Operations division. The team provides business critical insights using analytics, aligns cross-functional goals, and drives new initiatives to help scale business growth. The role involves working with large data sets, identifying growth opportunities across the customer lifecycle, and driving strategic recommendations through data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify key growth and sustainability opportunities across customer lifecycle.
- Work with large data sets and apply advanced investigative methods.
- Conduct analysis including problem formulation, experiment design, and data gathering.
- Present business recommendations and translate technical analyses for executives.
- Develop, automate, and prototype reports and dashboards.
- Engage in ad-hoc analysis and summarize metrics for management.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; 4 years in business analysis, 2 years in cross-functional initiatives, and 2 years in statistical problem solving using SQL or similar languages. Experience working with executive stakeholders is essential.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with multiple stakeholders across organizational boundaries; familiarity with advertising, digital media environments, and controlled experiments. Strong communication skills are required to explain complex data analyses to non-technical audiences.
Compensation and Benefits
The US base salary range is $118,000-$170,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Overall compensation is influenced by role, level, location and other relevant factors. Detailed benefits information is available on the Google careers page.
