About the AI Sales Specialist Role at Google
As an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Sales Specialist at Google Cloud, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our AI business by cultivating and strengthening relationships with both new and existing customers. Your primary objective will be to deliver significant business value, showcase product capabilities, and provide comprehensive overviews of key business use cases. This role involves managing sales cycles that encompass productivity use cases and collaborating with product teams to enable customers to build innovative solutions using our cutting-edge AI technologies. You will foster daily relationships with internal cross-functional teams and external clients, leading with empathy and continually seeking inventive approaches to amplify your impact and the team's overall contribution to Google Cloud's value proposition.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in a sales role within the enterprise software, cloud, or AI space.
- Demonstrated experience identifying AI use cases to address customer challenges or successfully selling AI technology to clients.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven track record of carrying and exceeding strategic business goals in a sales role.
- Experience nurturing long-term executive relationships and developing new territories/accounts, while ensuring customer success, adoption, and expansion.
- Proficiency in prioritizing, planning, and executing solution-based sales activities within complex sales cycles, including account qualification and leveraging the partner ecosystem.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with account teams, technical leads, procurement, and legal to inventory existing software estates, build business cases for transformation with implementation plans, and finalize agreements.
- Strong knowledge of market trends, products, and solutions, coupled with a foundational technical understanding of Cloud and AI.
- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and engaged listening skills.
Responsibilities
- Build deep relationships with customers, acting as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor, managing complex business cycles, identifying impactful solution use cases, and influencing the long-term strategic direction of accounts.
- Consistently achieve or exceed quota and strategic business and growth goals, while accurately forecasting and reporting on your territory's business performance.
- Collaborate effectively with Google accounts and various cross-functional teams (e.g., Customer Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, Channels) to develop robust go-to-market strategies, drive pipeline generation and business growth, close agreements, deeply understand customer needs, and ensure an excellent experience for both prospects and customers.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans, informed by our responsible AI framework, across an assigned territory or market.
- Manage multiple customers and opportunities simultaneously, gaining a thorough understanding of each customer’s technology footprint, strategy, growth plans, business drivers, key participants, and how Google technologies can transform their business.
Compensation & Benefits
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $134,000-$198,000, complemented by bonus, equity, and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within this range, individual compensation is shaped by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can provide specific salary range details for your preferred location during the hiring process.
