About the AI Sales Specialist, Google Cloud Role

As an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Sales Specialist at Google Cloud, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our AI business by cultivating and strengthening relationships with both new and existing customers. This position involves demonstrating product functionality, illustrating key business use cases, and delivering tangible business value through our AI solutions. Your sales cycles will encompass a blend of productivity use cases and collaboration with product teams to enable customers to develop innovative products utilizing Google's AI solutions. You will be instrumental in managing day-to-day interactions with cross-functional teams and external customers, prioritizing empathy, and continuously seeking innovative methods to amplify your personal and team impact to drive overall value for Google Cloud.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in a sales role within enterprise software, cloud, or AI sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying AI use cases to address customer challenges or successfully selling AI technology to clients.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to meet and exceed strategic business goals in a sales capacity.
  • Experience fostering long-term executive relationships, developing new territories/accounts, and ensuring customer success, adoption, and expansion.
  • Proficiency in prioritizing, planning, and executing solution-based sales activities within complex sales cycles, including account qualification and leveraging partner ecosystems.
  • Capability to work cross-functionally (e.g., account teams, technical leads, procurement, legal) to assess existing software estates, construct business cases for transformation with implementation plans, and finalize agreements.
  • Strong understanding of market trends, products, and solutions in Cloud and AI, including foundational technical knowledge.
  • Exceptional negotiation, problem-solving, and active listening skills.

Responsibilities

  • Build robust relationships with customers, acting as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor, managing intricate business cycles, identifying solution use cases, and influencing long-term strategic direction for accounts.
  • Achieve or surpass sales quota and strategic business/growth objectives while accurately forecasting and reporting on your territory’s business performance.
  • Collaborate with Google account teams and various cross-functional teams (e.g., Customer Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, Channels) to devise go-to-market strategies, cultivate pipeline, drive business growth, close agreements, understand customer needs, and deliver exceptional prospect and customer experiences.
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans, guided by Google's responsible AI framework, across an assigned territory or market.
  • Manage multiple customers and opportunities concurrently, gaining insight into each customer’s technology footprint, strategy, growth plans, business drivers, competitors, and how Google technologies can facilitate their business transformation.
