About the Role

At Google, as a Senior UX Engineer, you will work within the Developer Transformation team to drive innovative user experiences by designing prototypes, communicating technical design solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Your work will bridge design and engineering to deliver high quality developer tools and products.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in front-end development, technical UX design, or prototyping.
  • 2 years of experience with prototyping.
  • 2 years of experience with developer tools or enterprise-class applications.
  • Experience in application development in at least one platform/area (e.g., web, iOS, Android, CompDes, XR).

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7 years of experience developing responsive, adaptive, and performant websites and applications.
  • 6 years of experience as a front-end developer, UX Engineer, creative or design technologist, or in a prototyping design environment.
  • 2 years of experience with the latest methods, tools, and AI technologies.
  • Ability to build usable and innovative UIs along with comprehensive prototypes.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate technical and design solutions via documentation, presentations, and prototypes.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to improve server development tools and features.
  • Develop user journeys, mockups, prototypes, and presentations to communicate ideas effectively.
  • Present concepts and updates to executive stakeholders and simplify complex ideas.
  • Apply Google Material style guidelines and collaborate with engineering on implementations.

Compensation

This full-time role offers a US base salary range of $151,000-$222,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Compensation is determined by role, level, location, and individual factors including skill set and experience.
