As a UI/UX Designer for our Tools and Automation team, you will be responsible for designing and architecting the UI/UX solutions which can help automate Google processes. You will also be responsible for reviewing the work for other solution providers and building scalable UI/UX solutions across different geographies.
Position Responsibilities
- Design User Interfaces: Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for tools and automation projects while maintaining design consistency across projects. This includes improving designs as needed.
- User Experience Design: Conduct user research, analyze feedback, and implement solutions that improve usability and user satisfaction.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with developers, product managers, and other team members to ensure design feasibility and alignment with project goals.
- Participate in code development, including writing, debugging, and maintaining high-quality code to meet business requirements.
- Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and quality benchmarks.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
- A proven track record of delivering high-impact IT projects, with 10+ years of professional experience including 5-7 years specifically in UI/UX design.
- Design Tools Proficiency: Expertise in tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar platforms.
- UX Principles and Best Practices: Strong understanding of user-centered design, usability, and accessibility standards.
- Prototyping Skills: Ability to create interactive prototypes for user testing and presentations.
- Advanced Front-End Knowledge: Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript to collaborate effectively with developers.
- Coding Skills: Proficiency in front-end development for rapid prototyping (React, Angular, etc.).
- A strong problem-solver with excellent analytical and creative thinking skills, experience applying GenAI and cloud technologies to drive innovative solutions.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to present ideas and articulate design decisions.
- Ability to mentor junior designers, lead design workshops, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Automation Tools Experience: Understanding and knowledge of automation tools like Zapier, UiPath, or Google Apps Scripts.
- Visual Design Mastery: Experience in motion graphics or advanced visual design techniques.
- Data Visualization: Familiarity with designing dashboards and visualizing complex data.
