Minimum Qualifications

Experience in data center environments, building and operating large-scale infrastructure, Linux/Unix administration, and a proven record in building and leading collaborative teams with an emphasis on safety culture.
About the Job
Google's Hardware Operations team supports the physical infrastructure behind powerful search technology. As the Data Center Operations Manager, Machine Learning, you will manage a team of Data Center Technicians, oversee the installation and maintenance of server hardware and software, and tackle complex networking configurations. Your role includes troubleshooting, testing, and configuring hardware components such as servers, routers, switches, and other networking equipment, while also managing project implementations and contingency planning.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of technician travelers across North America and contribute to 24/7 initiatives.
- Foster a collaborative environment and communicate business priorities effectively.
- Identify and resolve issues in global computing and network architecture.
- Hire, coach, and develop team members while driving a strong safety culture.
- Oversee project implementation ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Compensation
US base salary range: $105,000-$151,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits (salary based on role, level, location, and other factors).
