Job Details
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. 3 years of experience architecting, developing, or maintaining secure cloud solutions. Experience designing cloud enterprise solutions and supporting customer projects to completion. Experience coding in one or more general purpose languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C or C++) including data structures, algorithms, and software design.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience securing Google Cloud or other cloud environments. Experience implementing FedRAMP, PCI or HIPAA security requirements in a cloud environment. Experience in understanding attacks and mitigation methods across network protocols, web application security, security assessments, pen testing, authentication, applied cryptography, security monitoring, incident response, and building security tools. Proficiency in Google Cloud SecOps (Chronicle SIEM/SOAR) and an understanding of cloud security principles.
About the Job
The Google Cloud Consulting Professional Services team guides customers through critical moments of their cloud journey. As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will provide technical guidance to customers adopting GCP services, sharing best practices in secure foundational cloud implementations, automation, and cloud-ready architectures. You will work with executives including CIOs, CISOs, and CTOs, and collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to enhance Google Cloud products.
Responsibilities
- Provide domain expertise in cloud security and compliance.
- Design and develop cloud security architectures and solutions.
- Manage multiple stakeholders to drive positive outcomes on GCP.
- Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials and sample code.
- Travel up to 30% for meetings, technical reviews, and onsite customer engagements.
Compensation & Benefits
US base salary range is $123,000-$176,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Additional factors include location, skills, experience, and training. Note: Only base salary is listed; bonuses and other incentives are added separately.
