Data Analyst

About The Role

Goody is seeking an experienced, strategic Data Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the VP of Growth and partnering closely with Goody's data engineering team, you will build trusted, reusable data models and metrics that power decision-making across the organization including Growth, Finance, Product, and more. You'll also use the models you build to derive valuable insights that guide company decisions.

This role is ideal for a collaborative analyst wanting exposure across every department at a fast-growing software company, building a strong data foundation to deliver actionable knowledge to business stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

• Design and own business-critical metrics including definitions and documentation.
• Build clean, reusable SQL models that serve as the source-of-truth.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate ambiguous questions into clear analytical deliverables.
• Create self-serve datasets and lightweight reporting for teams.
• Improve data reliability with sanity checks, reconciliations, and quality monitoring.
• Contribute to analytics best practices including naming conventions and metric governance.

Must-have Skills / Experience

• 5–6 years of experience in analytics, data analysis, or analytics engineering.
• Strong SQL skills for data modeling, handling edge cases, and query optimization.
• Ability to define metrics and clarify decision-making processes.
• Excellent communication to work with non-technical stakeholders and document clearly.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and BI tools (Tableau, Looker).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with DBT or similar transformation tooling.
• Familiarity with experimentation, funnels, retention, and attribution analyses.
• Basic Python for analysis.
• Experience with data quality tooling and monitoring.

Compensation

Compensation Range: $80K - $140K per year.
