Description

Works as a member of the store team to lead an excellent customer and brand experience, and promote sales for Goodwill of the San Francisco Bay. The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for running registers, maintaining sales floor standards, and ensuring a clean, safe environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform Point of Sale (POS) responsibilities and process all forms of payments.
  • Ask each customer for cash donations at POS.
  • Establish or identify prices of goods based on type and markings.
  • Complete closing procedures as necessary.
  • Maintain regular and consistent in-person attendance.
  • Greet customers entering and thank them exiting the store.
  • Follow floorwork and PPM standards to maintain the sales floor.
  • Stock merchandise appropriately.
  • Utilize phones and paging systems for announcements.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High School education or equivalent experience, excellent customer service skills, excellent math skills preferred, and proficient English communication. Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass background and drug screenings.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull a minimum of 20 lbs routinely.
  • Ability to frequently lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Capable of standing, walking, sitting, handling items and other physical activities.
