About The Role
Goldman Sachs Asset & Wealth Management is seeking a Vice President – Senior iOS Engineer to join our Mobile Engineering organization in India. This is a hands-on Senior technical leadership role for an experienced iOS engineer with 10+ years of industry experience, who will help drive the architecture, quality, and delivery of secure, scalable mobile experiences for our global clients and advisors.Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of enterprise-grade iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI.
- Own technical solutions end-to-end, including architecture, implementation, testing, and production readiness.
- Set and enforce a high engineering bar through rigorous code and merge request (MR) reviews, ensuring adherence to Swift coding standards and best practices.
- Ensure applications conform to Apple Human Interface Guidelines (HIG), accessibility standards, and best-in-class UX principles.
- Define and drive adoption of mobile software design and architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM, Clean Architecture, modularization).
- Design, implement, and enforce comprehensive test strategies, including unit tests and integration tests, to ensure correctness, stability, and long-term maintainability.
- Partner closely with product, design, backend, QA, and risk/compliance teams to deliver business-critical features.
- Mentor engineers across levels, providing technical leadership and raising overall team capability.
- Proactively manage technical debt, performance, reliability, and operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with Goldman Sachs’ security, risk, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of hands-on iOS development experience delivering production-grade mobile applications.
- Expert-level proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI, with strong experience in UIKit.
- Strong familiarity with Swift coding practices, language idioms, and modern concurrency models.
- Deep understanding of mobile software design and architecture patterns, including MVVM and modular architectures.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining unit tests and integration tests for iOS applications.
- Proven track record of leading high-quality code reviews in large, complex codebases.
- Strong knowledge of iOS frameworks, memory management, and performance optimization.
- Deep understanding of Apple Human Interface Guidelines (HIG) and accessibility requirements.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation for iOS.
- Strong understanding of Swift (protocols, generics, functional programming) and SwiftUI.
- Proficiency in Xcode for development, debugging, and performance analysis.
- Solid experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, JSON, and integrating third-party services.
- Knowledge of data persistence options (CoreData, Keychain, UserDefaults).
- Experience writing unit and UI tests (XCTest, XCUI), familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Proficiency with Git for code management and team collaboration.
- Advanced debugging (Xcode Instruments, Memory Graph) and performance optimization.
- Solid understanding of iOS architectural patterns (MVC, MVVM, Clean Architecture, etc.).
- Strong foundation in software design principles (Dependency Injection, separation of concerns, modularity).
