Through these strategic, non-control investments, Petershill partners with leading alternative asset managers to accelerate their strategic development. By providing strategic capital, Petershill supports the creation of long-term value, enabling GPs to enhance employee retention, facilitate business development, buy out legacy equity holders, and create broader strategic options, all while preserving the autonomy and entrepreneurial spirit of these organizations. To date, Petershill has partnered with over fifty alternative asset management firms and has raised over $17.0bn of commitments in private fund commitments.

  • Build on established systems of mapping, tracking, and reaching out to the alternatives GP universe, leveraging external and GS databases, publicly available information, and other resources
  • Cultivate relationships with leading alternative asset managers for GP stakes and related capital solutions; drive thematic sourcing initiatives to support a robust deal pipeline for Petershill and deal referrals across XIG and Goldman Sachs broadly
  • Increase and systematize Petershill connectivity across the alternatives universe, maintaining regular engagement with both external GPs and internal Goldman Sachs groups
  • Maintain and improve methods of tracking engagement with external GPs and internal stakeholders, focusing on capturing the long-term impact of origination efforts
