About the Role

The Global Banking & Markets Operations Analyst - Gas & Power Logistics role at Goldman Sachs is part of the dynamic Operations division. This division partners across the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading, and asset management services. It ensures efficient transaction processing and strong risk management for complex products in the US Power, Renewables, and Carbon markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in the US Power business.
• Create and maintain vendor oversight procedures and manage outsourced vendor relationships.
• Negotiate and review contracts while acting as GS liaison for operational support.
• Nominate power, renewables, and carbon positions to relevant Market/System Operators.
• Provide traders and sales teams with timely and accurate market data.
• Participate in developing procedures and processes to support business growth.
• Manage projects to facilitate trading in new markets and products.
• Interface with Legal, Compliance, Credit, IT, Tax, and external bodies.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

A BS/BA degree and at least 2 years of professional experience are required. Experience in Physical Electricity, Renewables, and Carbon scheduling in North American markets is essential.

The candidate should have strong accuracy, attention to detail, technical and analytical skills, and be adaptable in a fast-moving environment. A team-oriented approach and the ability to work across functions are crucial.

Compensation & Benefits
