Job Overview
The Global Advisory & Markets ETP Engineer Associate at Goldman Sachs is part of the Electronic Trading Platform team responsible for maintaining low latency trading infrastructure. The team focuses on designing and maintaining high-performance systems to support robust, secure, and efficient trading environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services for low latency trading.
- Develop infrastructure monitoring and automation services.
- Build trading analytics solutions via real-time network packet capture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Golang or Python.
- Participate in code reviews and design discussions.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of backend development experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Proficiency in a programming language with willingness to work in Python or Golang.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience in Linux or Unix environments.
- Interest in low latency systems, networking, and trading.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Python or Golang development.
- Familiarity with InfluxDB, Telegraf, and Grafana.
- Exposure to low latency or trading platforms.
- Experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
- Understanding of concurrency, memory management, and network protocols.
- Experience with Kafka or similar messaging systems.
