Job Overview

The Global Advisory & Markets ETP Engineer Associate at Goldman Sachs is part of the Electronic Trading Platform team responsible for maintaining low latency trading infrastructure. The team focuses on designing and maintaining high-performance systems to support robust, secure, and efficient trading environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services for low latency trading.
  • Develop infrastructure monitoring and automation services.
  • Build trading analytics solutions via real-time network packet capture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Golang or Python.
  • Participate in code reviews and design discussions.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of backend development experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Proficiency in a programming language with willingness to work in Python or Golang.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in Linux or Unix environments.
  • Interest in low latency systems, networking, and trading.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Python or Golang development.
  • Familiarity with InfluxDB, Telegraf, and Grafana.
  • Exposure to low latency or trading platforms.
  • Experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
  • Understanding of concurrency, memory management, and network protocols.
  • Experience with Kafka or similar messaging systems.
