Goldman Sachs Family Office (GSFO) is looking for an Associate, Family Solutions, Private Wealth Management to closely assist Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) in delivering Family Office Solutions to clients and support business development initiatives. This role requires a diligent and client-focused individual with a background in wealth management and/or family office services.

Private Wealth Management (PWM)
PWM at Goldman Sachs specializes in creating comprehensive wealth management plans for high net worth individuals, families, and select institutions. PWM Teams offer customized strategies, drawing from deep investment experience and global reach, including tax and estate planning, philanthropic planning, and private banking. The Goldman Sachs Family Office (GSFO) collaborates with PWAs to build strong client relationships and deliver a full suite of wealth planning and family office services.
How You Will Fulfill Your Potential
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary contact for a book of west coast clients for non-investment services, from onboarding to ongoing support, covering reporting, planning, household, and administrative needs.
- Identify client needs and opportunities for introducing new non-investment family office services.
- Develop and maintain strong, trusted client relationships through proactive communication and ensuring maximum value.
- Address client inquiries promptly, coordinating with internal teams and external third parties.
Service Delivery & Coordination
- Partner with PWM teams to manage the client lifecycle through marketing, needs evaluation, onboarding, and ongoing service delivery.
- Become a subject matter expert across various service offerings: consolidated reporting, alternatives administration, estate flow mapping, cyber/physical security, domestic staff recruitment, travel, and medical advisory.
- Collaborate with external advisors (accountants, attorneys, property managers) for a seamless client experience.
- Facilitate interaction between PWA teams, wealth strategists, family office colleagues, clients, and third-party advisors for timely deliverables.
- Foster a client-centric environment, ensuring the highest quality service.
- Collaborate and strategize with PWA teams on solution delivery.
Family Office Ambassador for West Coast PWM
- Act as the Family Office ambassador, leading initial discussions with potential clients to introduce the full spectrum of family office services.
- Stay informed on the west coast competitive landscape and evolving needs of ultra-high-net-worth families to identify new service opportunities.
- Ensure quality assurance, deadlines, and KPIs are met.
- Work with internal colleagues (Product, Engineering, Compliance, Legal) and third-party vendors to evolve the product offering.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and productive team culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Required.
- 3-5 years of relevant client-facing industry experience (Family office, Wealth Management, or working with high-net-worth families preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively to exceed client expectations.
- Understanding of financial and performance reporting in wealth management.
- Excellent writing and communication skills; team-oriented mindset.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills; strong attention to detail and logical thinking.
- High degree of personal accountability; committed to delivering quality services on time.
- Commitment to excellence and integrity.
- Self-motivated, able to balance quality work with short deadlines.
- Deep interest in financial markets; good investment sense/commercial instinct.
- Resourceful, self-starter, attentive to detail with great organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think clearly under pressure.
- Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7 & Series 63 exams (must be obtained within first 3 months of employment).
