About the Role
The Asset & Wealth Management Private Credit Associate position at Goldman Sachs is part of one of the world’s largest alternative credit investing platforms. The position involves working as part of small deal teams responsible for identifying, conducting due diligence, structuring, executing, and monitoring investments. The team focuses on a broad mandate including direct lending, opportunistic and structured investments across debt and equity.
Responsibilities
The Associate will:
- Support investment origination through early engagement with sponsors and management teams
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence including financial, legal, commercial, technical, and ESG analyses
- Participate in structuring, negotiating, and documenting investment transactions
- Communicate and defend investment theses with internal stakeholders and committees
- Monitor existing investments and maintain active dialogue with portfolio companies
- Build strong relationships with founders, sponsors, management teams, and internal teams
Qualifications
Candidates should have 3-6 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, leverage finance, or private credit roles, ideally within Asian markets. A strong academic record with a degree in Finance, Economics, or related fields is required, along with quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a flexible, creative mindset are essential.
