College Admission Counselor
Golden Education is seeking a dedicated and student-centered College Admission Counsellor to join our team. This role focuses on guiding students through academic planning, college pathways exploration, and admission preparation. The ideal candidate is passionate about education, detail-oriented, and committed to helping students achieve their academic and personal goals through strategic, personalized support.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one academic and college pathway counselling.
- Guide students in selecting suitable programs and institutions aligned with their strengths and goals.
- Support students in developing application strategies, timelines, and documentation.
- Review and provide feedback on personal statements, essays, and application materials.
- Conduct interview preparation sessions and offer constructive feedback if needed.
- Monitor student progress and maintain clear communication with families when appropriate.
- Stay informed about college admission trends, program requirements, and scholarship opportunities.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or have completed an undergraduate or master’s degree.
- Strong understanding of college admission processes (Canada, U.S., or international systems is an asset).
- Experience in academic advising, tutoring, mentoring, or education-related roles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to commit consistently to the progression of the student.
