Role Summary
As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at GoFreight, your primary responsibility will be to generate new business opportunities through targeted cold calling and personalized email outreach. You will work closely with Account Executives (AEs) to ensure that qualified leads are passed off with the right context to help drive deals forward. Your success will be measured by your ability to generate quality opportunities and contribute to building a healthy sales pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Outbound Prospecting: Drive lead generation efforts through cold calling and personalized email outreach to targeted prospects using our CRM and Sales Engagement Platform inside HubSpot.
- Lead Qualification: Identify and qualify new business opportunities that align with the company’s ideal customer profile (ICP), ensuring leads meet the opportunity qualification criteria for scheduling AE discovery calls.
- Pipeline Development: Manage your accounts and contacts effectively, ensuring all leads and outreach efforts are tracked and recorded in HubSpot.
- Collaboration with Account Executives: Partner closely with AEs to ensure high-quality opportunities are successfully transitioned, setting up meetings with key decision-makers to drive revenue growth.
- Performance Metrics: Achieve and exceed monthly quotas for meetings set, qualified opportunities generated, and pipeline contribution.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and sales best practices, constantly optimizing your outreach strategies to improve results.
Qualifications
- Experience: Either several years of sales experience in a non-SaaS environment, with a demonstrated ability to prospect into your own accounts and generate qualified opportunities, or 2+ years of outbound-focused BDR experience at a SaaS company, with a proven track record of generating and qualifying leads.
- Sales Acumen: Strong experience with cold calling, email outreach, and lead qualification, with the ability to handle objections and engage decision-makers effectively.
- Tools Proficiency: Experience with CRM systems (preferably HubSpot), dialers (Aircall), and data enrichment tools (ZoomInfo) is highly preferred.
- Collaboration Skills: Ability to work closely with Account Executives and other team members to ensure smooth handoffs of qualified opportunities.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to personalize outreach and build rapport with potential clients.
- Results-driven: Motivated by achieving and exceeding lead generation and pipeline goals, with the ability to stay organized and focused in a fast-paced environment.
- Resilience: A strong desire to learn and adapt, with the persistence to overcome challenges and drive consistent results.
