Assistant Dealership Controller

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Controller, the Assistant Dealership Controller will work closely with the VP, General Manager, and Department Managers, taking on critical responsibilities including:
- Overall responsibility for the assets of the dealership in conjunction with the General Manager.
- Overseeing staff for day-to-day accounting operations.
- Playing an integral role in the accounting process, potentially posting deals and scheduling cleans depending on the store size.
- Finalizing statements and submitting them to banks and manufacturers.
- Managing inventory financing and ensuring adherence to financial institution rules regarding payouts.
- Conducting physical inventory counts for vehicles and parts.
- Preparing year-end working papers accurately and efficiently.
- Ensuring adequate training and development for all accounting staff and self, aligning with both operational and franchise requirements, including Go Auto University programs.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:
- Previous experience within the automotive industry (considered a strong asset).
- Proficiency with CDK software (preferred).
