About the role
Lead Technical Architect - GNJ SofTech
We are looking for an experienced Lead Architect to design and govern a scalable, secure, API-led microservices architecture for a headless workflow solution in the banking domain. The solution will be hosted on AWS Cloud, built using Spring Boot microservices, and supported by a BPM / Workflow engine. This role will own end-to-end architecture, technical decisions, and ensure non-functional requirements like security, performance, scalability, and compliance are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and own the overall system architecture for API / microservices-led solutions.
- Design headless architecture integrated with BPM / Workflow engines.
- Define microservices strategy, including: BFF (Backend for Frontend) microservices, Domain / business microservices, Integration and orchestration patterns.
- Establish API standards, versioning, and governance.
- Design AWS cloud architecture (networking, security, scalability, HA).
- Ensure banking-grade security, compliance, and audit readiness.
- Guide teams on Spring Boot best practices, microservices communication, and data flow.
- Review designs, code, and architecture decisions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and backend teams.
- Mentor senior developers and enforce architectural discipline.
Requirements & Experience:
- 10+ years of overall architecture experience
- Strong experience with Microservices architecture, Spring Boot, API-led design, BPM / Workflow engines (Camunda, Activiti, Flowable, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud (VPC, EC2, EKS, RDS, IAM, etc.).
- Strong understanding of BFF pattern, Service orchestration vs choreography, Caching strategies, API security (OAuth2, JWT).
- Experience in banking / financial services preferred.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
