About The Team And Role
We’re looking for a detail-focused and curious Data & Insights Assistant to support the Gloucestershire Libraries Development Team. Based at Shire Hall in Gloucester, this role plays a vital part in helping us understand how our communities use library services, ensuring our activities, events, and priorities are shaped by real evidence.
Working closely with the Development Manager, Customer Development Coordinators, and the wider service, you’ll help gather, input, and analyse customer data from our library systems and Customer Relationship Management system. You’ll contribute to regular reporting for internal teams and external partners, including Arts Council England, and support colleagues by providing clear insights that guide decision-making.
You’ll also help develop and maintain our feedback and evaluation processes, attend occasional events to support data collection, and contribute to how the service reports on impact and engagement across the county.
About You
You’re methodical, organised, and naturally inquisitive. You enjoy working with data, spotting patterns, and presenting information clearly. You understand the importance of accuracy and confidentiality, and you’re comfortable managing multiple tasks in a busy environment.
You work well as part of a team, communicate clearly, and can adapt to new systems and processes. Whether you’re creating spreadsheets, supporting report preparation, or helping colleagues understand customer insights, you bring reliability, focus, and a positive, proactive approach.
