Data Governance Expert at Globe Telecom

The Data Governance Expert supports the Data Governance Head by managing day-to-day governance activities and ensuring that data policies, standards, and processes are applied consistently. The role combines oversight and execution, focusing on data quality, compliance, process management, and stakeholder coordination to ensure that B2B data, dashboards, and projects are accurate, secure, and aligned with business needs.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Framework & Policy DevelopmentBuild and maintain a single analytics governance framework used across the company.Create clear policies covering the full analytics lifecycle, from data sourcing to retirement.
- Data Quality & CompliancePerform data validation, profiling, and quality checks.Ensure compliance with PII handling and data privacy requirements.Manage and document sensitive data requests (e.g., Jira workflows).
- Business & Project SupportWork with Data Champions to capture and validate business requirements.Support governance of SFA enhancements (review objects, data definitions, UAT sign-offs).Coordinate or contribute to governance-related projects and initiatives.
- Communication & DocumentationDraft and release BI advisories (report schedules, updates, delays, new functionalities).Maintain governance documentation (data dictionaries, policies, process guides).Communicate governance requirements and updates to stakeholders clearly.
- Collaboration & EscalationCoordinate with the Data Governance Head on strategy alignment and escalations.Partner with BI-Data Mgt, SMBI, Sales, Product, ISG, and Compliance teams to resolve issues.
