Product Background

Many law enforcement agencies are struggling to keep pace with demand: more and larger devices to analyze, overextended personnel capacity, leading to ever increasing case backlogs. In comes Magnet Automate, a modern orchestration product that integrates with much of Magnet’s product suite as well as many other third-party tools. By harnessing the power of workflow automation using tools that already work in their labs, Automate can optimize a lab’s processes; eliminating manual tasks and empowering forensics experts to focus on their expertise: reviewing the evidence.

Team and Challenges

Projects in the Software Engineer - .NET Fullstack role revolve around adding and updating functionality in our web UI and API services in concert with features in other Magnet products or third-party support, as well as making strides in lab and automation management such as notifications, seamless system updates, or auditing activity. As the product evolves and matures, modernizing our web stack (particularly on the UI side) has also been a priority, swapping out old frameworks and unfamiliar patterns to improve the robustness of the application. The team is highly collaborative, operating fluidly across all areas of the technology stack to deliver features, as well as with other teams when working on new integrations.

Requirements

Skills Required:

• 4-5 years professional experience as a Software Developer;
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (ReactJS), HTML, and CSS;
• Strong experience in C# and ASP.NET.

Nice To Have Skills:

• Experience working with JS libraries at the data layer such as Redux and react-query, and component libraries such as Material UI;
• Experience with Jenkins and Groovy scripted pipelines;
• Experience working in Clojure;
• Scripting using PowerShell or Python;
• Experience using AWS and Terraform.
