Description

GlobalLogic is seeking a technically strong and experienced Principal Software Engineer Web-based Clinical Applications to lead the architecture, development, and delivery of a web-based surgery planning application. This role is focused on designing robust, scalable software using AngularJS for the front end and C++ for the back end, while guiding a cross-functional team through the full development lifecycle.

Requirements

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Translate system-level requirements into robust, scalable software solutions.
  • Collaborate with UX designers for a seamless user experience.
  • Define and evolve a modular, maintainable, and high-performance architecture.
  • Lead front-end development using AngularJS and back-end services in C++.
  • Establish coding standards, architectural guidelines, and best practices.

Project Management:

  • Lead cross-functional teams through planning, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with clinical stakeholders and product managers to define requirements.
  • Manage project timelines, risks, and deliverables.

Quality & Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to software quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee code reviews, automated testing and CI/CD processes.
  • Support documentation, validation, and audit readiness activities.

Core Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of software development experience.
  • 3+ years in a technical leadership or project lead role.
  • Experience in clinical or healthcare-related software development is a plus.
  • Proficiency in C++ and web-based applications on Linux.
  • Experience with web application architecture, RESTful services and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with build systems and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of clinical workflows.
  • Proficiency in AngularJS.
  • Experience using Requirements Management Tools (e.g. Polarion).
