Overview

The System Administrator Linux role at Global HR Services requires a minimum of 4+ years of experience in Linux administration with a strong focus on security, virtualization, and network management. This role involves configuring firewall rules, managing storage servers, and ensuring optimal system performance.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of System Administration experience with Linux focus
  • Experience with firewall configuration (iptables/firewalld)
  • Expertise in log analysis, monitoring, and network troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python) for automation
  • Familiarity with configuration management (Ansible, Puppet) and containerization (Docker)
  • Knowledge of virtualization (Proxmox, VMware vSphere, KVM) and storage technologies (RAID, SAN, NAS)
  • Understanding of TCP/IP networking, BGP, subnetting, ACLs
  • Bonus: Experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes, Go, and DevOps practices

Responsibilities

  • Manage and configure Linux server environments
  • Implement firewall rules and manage security settings
  • Monitor logs and system metrics for performance optimization
  • Configure virtualization layers and manage virtual machines
  • Setup, configure, and maintain storage servers
  • Manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and load balancers
