Job Summary
Global Concepts Charter School is seeking a compassionate and experienced School Substitute Nurse RN/LPN to prioritize the health and well-being of its students. This role involves educating students on health issues, handling medical complaints, and performing routine screenings to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all student medical records are current and complete.
- Educate students on essential healthcare and safety practices, such as proper hand washing and germ prevention.
- Conduct screenings for students presenting with specific ailments.
- Maintain accurate and detailed health and medical history files for each student.
Physical Requirements
The role requires physical stamina and movement, including:
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Sitting for data entry and charting.
- Bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling on a daily basis.
- Regular lifting of medical supplies or equipment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Must possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing.
- Hold a valid Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of New York. LPNs with appropriate qualifications are also encouraged to apply.
- Ability to establish positive relationships and become familiar with students.
- Demonstrate impeccable organizational skills.
Additional Job Information
This is a Per Diem position, requiring 7.50 hours per day. Compensation is $275.00 daily for RNs and $250.00 daily for LPNs. The role is based at 1001 Ridge Road and requires a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse certification.
