Role Overview
The Targeting Analyst, Emergency Cash, will identify and prioritize communities and individuals in crisis. This role is central to the Emergency Cash (EC) Product team, employing a range of data sources and analytical tools to guide strategic cash transfers.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze humanitarian needs using diverse data sources.
- Determine crisis events and identify affected subpopulations.
- Create actionable recipient lists with mapping and dashboards.
- Monitor global crises and integrate data from various partners.
- Support product development with iterative experiments and pilot studies.
- Document learning and efficiencies to refine targeting approaches.
What You’ll Bring
- 3-5+ years in humanitarian needs analysis with crisis data interpretation.
- 2+ years producing actionable data products for operational teams.
- Experience in data analytics using SQL, Python, or R.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and technical fluency.
- Ability to work in high-stakes, fast-changing environments.
Additional Information
Job Type: Full-time, Remote (must overlap with East Africa timezone by at least 3 hours), with 10-20% travel required. Compensation varies by location and is guided by an equitable, non-negotiable policy.
