  • Alignment with GitLab's values and work ethic.
  • Comfort conducting research in a fully remote setting.

What You’ll Do

  • Become the expert on users within your allocated coverage area: understanding their GitLab usage, pain points, and workflows.
  • Collaborate with GitLab designers, product managers, and engineers on various research projects.
  • Conduct all stages of UX research: identifying, planning, driving, conducting, analyzing, and reporting insights.
  • Utilize a wide variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods to address research questions.
  • Communicate project statuses and updates clearly to stakeholders.
  • Advocate for and socialize actionable insights independently, increasing empathy across teams.
  • Produce research insights that demonstrably result in impact.
  • Participate in research projects led by Senior and/or Staff Researchers for knowledge and exposure.
  • Actively contribute to the UX Research team culture by iterating on processes, documentation, and peer reviews.
