Role Responsibilities

You will lead and mentor a team of 5 AI Product Designers while working closely with Product Management, Engineering, UX Research, and Technical Writing teams. Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting and executing the design strategy for AI products.
  • Establishing design standards and best practices for AI-powered experiences.
  • Guiding user research and usability testing for complex AI interactions.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate AI into developer tools.
  • Presenting design strategies and outcomes to executive leadership.

Projects You Will Work On

Examples include Duo Workflow, Duo Chat, and AI-powered code suggestions and review tools that enhance the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has experience in product design and managing design teams. You should have a record of leading design for AI/ML products, a strong understanding of DevSecOps and SDLC, and proven skills in cross-functional collaboration.

Benefits & Compensation

GitLab offers flexible paid time off, equity compensation, home office support, and many other benefits. The base salary for US residents ranges from $155,000 to $240,000 USD.
