Role Overview

As the Senior Product Design Manager AI, you will lead a team of 5 talented AI Product Designers. You will shape AI-powered developer tools by guiding design strategy and day-to-day execution across our platform.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of AI Product Designers
  • Define and execute the design strategy for AI products
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, UX Research, and Technical Writing
  • Establish design standards and patterns for AI experiences
  • Conduct user research and usability testing for complex AI interactions
  • Contribute to GitLab’s Pajamas Design System with AI components
  • Present design outcomes to executive leadership and stakeholders
  • Foster user-centered design thinking within the team

Work on Duo Workflow (AI agents), Duo Chat (AI-powered assistant), and AI-powered code suggestions.
