An Overview of This Role
As a Business Systems Analyst, Marketing on GitLab's Lead to Cash team, you will act as the strategic bridge between Marketing, Sales, and Partner teams and the technical execution of go-to-market systems. Focusing on CRM and the Lead to Opportunity process, you will analyze business needs, document clear requirements, and deliver scalable solutions that improve demand capture, routing, and measurement.
What You'll Do
- Partner with Marketing Operations and Channel stakeholders to align goals.
- Lead discovery sessions and requirements workshops.
- Translate business needs into clear user stories and metrics.
- Conduct current-state and gap analysis for scalable solutions.
- Support CRM and marketing tech to optimize workflows.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Partners, and IT teams.
- Drive change management and support adoption through training and communications.
What You'll Bring
- 3+ years as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role.
- Experience with go-to-market systems, CRM, and marketing operations.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce and Marketo.
- Ability to gather and analyze complex requirements.
- Strong analytical, communication, and change management skills.
- Knowledge of business analysis methodologies and SDLC.
- Agile practices experience and willingness to mentor junior analysts.
About The Team
The Lead to Cash team manages the customer journey systems from initial contact through revenue recognition. The team focuses on Lead to Opportunity workflows and collaborates asynchronously with globally distributed members.
