As a Senior Product Marketing Manager, Application Security, you will drive revenue growth for GitLab’s security portfolio by collaborating with cross-functional teams including marketing, product management, engineering, and sales. You will be the subject matter expert for Application Security, including Software Supply Chain Security, Security Risk Management, and Compliance.
What You’ll Do
Deliver the Pitch: Develop compelling messaging, positioning, and content for compliance and security. Craft persona-specific messaging for key audiences and build engaging product pitches and thought leadership narratives. Conduct research on customer pain points, market trends, and competitive alternatives.
Coach the Play: Partner with field and digital marketing teams to build demand gen campaigns and revenue plays. Create sales enablement materials, playbooks, FAQs, and objection-handling guides, while serving as a liaison between field teams and marketing.
Own the Proof: Act as the voice of the customer by capturing feedback and win-wires. Educate industry analysts and build business value calculations with the Business Value team.
Drive the Plan: Develop customer segmentation, buyer personas, and target audience strategies. Define route-to-market and monetization strategies for various offerings and manage the launch plan for new compliance features.
What You’ll Bring
You should have 5+ years of Product Marketing experience in B2B SaaS (preferably within Application Security, Software Supply Chain or Compliance domains) with a proven track record of developing and executing go-to-market strategies and crafting simplified messaging for both technical and business audiences. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required, along with familiarity with SAST, SCA/Secret Detection, DAST, and compliance frameworks.
