This role is remote, based in Ontario, Canada.

Overview

As a Strategic Solutions Engineer at GitHub, you will provide technical sales support for our strategic enterprise customers in Canada by acting as a trusted advisor to overcome technical objections and creatively address customer SDLC pain points.

Responsibilities

  • Customer and Industry Insights: Maintain up-to-date product and industry trend knowledge; provide coaching and gather customer feedback to influence GitHub’s roadmap.
  • Trusted Advisor: Act as a technical advocate guiding customers through complex scenarios including migrations, secure software development, and DevSecOps integration.
  • Technology Strategy Formulation: Lead the technical sales cycle from discovery to proof-of-concept and transition into post-sale support.
  • Customer Enablement: Accelerate customer adoption using technical resources and effectively communicate technical goals internally.
  • Marketing and Sales Partnership: Support technical content creation for marketing and collaborate with sales, customer success, and product teams.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include significant experience (ranging from 4+ to 10+ years based on educational background) in technical consulting or consultative selling along with deep knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle, AI integration, Source Control Management, CI/CD, and DevSecOps. Ability to travel up to 25% is required.
