Overview

The Senior Technical Partner Manager proactively creates, nurtures, and influences a partner ecosystem to generate larger impact for customers. This role involves engaging with technical stakeholders, co-selling with strategic partners, and driving demand for GitHub products.

Responsibilities

  • Thought Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Drive innovation and establish deep technical relationships with CXOs and key partners.
  • Facilitate match-making between partners, sellers, and account teams.
  • Develop and execute partner co-selling strategies to boost GitHub product consumption.
  • Manage intellectual property tasks and pipeline reviews with co-sell partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Microsoft colleagues and GitHub sales communities.

Partner Impact and Enablement

  • Advise partner technical teams on pre-sales, deployment, and consumption.
  • Leverage partner and customer feedback to adjust strategies and resolve blockers.
  • Translate technical solutions into clear business benefits.
  • Maintain alignment with GitHub's compliance processes and support innovative solution sponsorships.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include 7+ years of related experience in sales, channel sales, solution selling, architecture, or business development. Alternative educational backgrounds with relevant work experience are also considered. Experience with digital transformation, cloud platforms, generative AI, and SaaS services is essential along with expertise in partnering with Global Systems Integrators.

Additional preferred qualifications include deep knowledge of cloud technologies, familiarity with Microsoft sales and services approaches, and demonstrated leadership in driving business growth.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range is USD 81,620 - USD 216,370 per annum, with additional opportunities to earn sales incentives including bonuses and stock options based on individual impact.
