Role Overview

The Director, Overseas Operations and Member Experience at USA Girl Scouts Overseas (USAGSO) holds a key leadership role reporting to the Executive Director. The role is responsible for managing relationships with the U.S. military in Europe and Asia, cultivating strategic partnerships, and ensuring delivery of a high-quality Girl Scout Leadership Experience.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Program Excellence & Revenue: Lead the Girl Experience team, drive retail growth, and enhance product programs.
  • Operational Management: Oversee overseas operations, including budgeting, staffing, and compliance with military requirements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with military, councils, schools, and community partners.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and support diverse team members across multiple locations.
  • Financial Stewardship: Manage the operations budget and optimize resource allocation.

Required Competencies and Technical Skills

Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, communication, project management skills, and familiarity with nonprofit and international environments are required. Proficiency in Office 365, project management systems, PowerPoint, and Excel is required.

Required Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred. Minimum 10 years’ experience with 5 in supervisory roles, preferably in nonprofit, international relations, or business fields.

  • Driver’s License and Valid Passport.
  • Salary Range: $70,000 - $95,000.
  • Comprehensive benefits including PTO, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans.
  • Hybrid role with a U.S.-based home office and periodic international travel.
