Overview

The Outreach Program Coordinator expands access to Girl Scouts by developing and leading programs in schools, community centers, and underserved areas. This role covers the Scranton and Wilkes Barre areas, focusing on building partnerships, delivering badge experiences, and reporting outcomes to support continuous improvement and membership growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver Girl Scout programs aligned with PA guidelines.
  • Evaluate and update curriculum for maximum impact.
  • Notify management of issues and submit incident reports within 24 hours.
  • Establish relationships with schools and community partners.
  • Travel regionally to meet partners and represent the council.
  • Assist in Product Program sales through school events and logistics.
  • Build strong relationships with girls and families through communication.
  • Present structured, clear, and organized presentations.
  • Maintain high safety standards in all activities.
  • Handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Provide quality customer service to all stakeholders.
  • Represent the Girl Scout mission positively and professionally.
  • Support council-wide initiatives and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Three years of experience in innovative youth and community programs.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and virtual meeting platforms.
  • First Aid/CPR/AED certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups and maintain professionalism.
  • Must pass and maintain required background clearances.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 30 pounds.
