About the role
The Media Product Manager role at Gigster calls for a bilingual (Arabic and English) professional with newsroom experience to manage and optimize digital media workflows. You will take full ownership of the product lifecycle, from planning to publishing, and drive improvements in metadata management and content distribution for digital platforms.
Responsibilities
- Optimize newsroom workflows including planning, publishing, and metadata management.
- Refine metadata collection for enhanced content discoverability.
- Lead training and ensure user adoption in Arabic and English.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for diverse teams.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and editorial teams.
- Incorporate user feedback for continuous product improvement.
- Balance strategic decision-making with agile execution.
What We’re Looking For
Candidates should have 2–4 years of product management experience in media organizations, strong emotional intelligence, and technical acumen including familiarity with cloud-based systems and basic API integrations. User Centered Design principles and an independent work ethic are crucial.
Work Conditions
This is a full time, totally remote role with an 8-hour shift ending at noon EST (or overlapping hours from 08:00 to 12:00 EST). Compensation is paid in USD on a biweekly or monthly basis under an independent contractor agreement.
