About the Role
GigFinder.ai is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Back-End Engineer to join our talented engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining the core back-end infrastructure that powers our AI-driven platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, data science, and front-end engineering, to deliver robust, scalable, and performant solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement scalable and efficient back-end services and APIs using Python and relevant frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask).
- Build and optimize data models and database schemas for our PostgreSQL databases.
- Develop and integrate AI/ML models into the back-end infrastructure to enhance platform capabilities.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and strategic technical planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in back-end software development.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with at least one major Python web framework (e.g., Django, Flask).
- Solid understanding of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
- Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and experience integrating ML models is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment.
